Dynamic and Static Wrinkles

Published on March 2, 2017 by

Treating skin wrinkles requires a certain degree of knowledge. The extent of the issue must be evaluated so that an effective solution can be found. Wrinkles come in two types: dynamic and static. Knowing the differences between the two will be incredibly beneficial when searching for the proper treatment.

Static wrinkles are constantly visible. These types of wrinkles form as a result of a loss of skin elasticity and strength due to aging and gravity, and as a result of facial muscle stiffness and overuse.

Dynamic wrinkles are visible only when you make certain expressions or move your facial features in particular ways. They can be visible while smiling, frowning, squinting, chewing, and performing other activities.

If you are looking for a safe and effective treatment to reduce the appearance of your wrinkles, contact us to schedule a consultation with skin care specialist Dr. S. Kent Brown.
