Vein Removal Scottsdale
Sclerotherapy can treat many different size veins, even minor and small veins.
Developed over 75 years ago, Sclerotherapy works by irritating the lining of the vein such that the vein seals shut. It takes about 15-20 minutes and can be used to treat spider veins and varicose veins.* Patients usually wear a compression stocking for a short period after treatment. Most people need a few treatments to obtain the best results. Treatments are generally done in monthly intervals.
In most cases, you will be able to resume regular activities immediately. Support hose or a snug wrapping to the treated area may be reccommended as the application of pressure will help reduce any side effects and aid in more effective healing and treatment. Many patients experience 60% to 80% of the treated vessels resolved.* During your consultation with Sensational Skin, you will be advised as to the number of treatments necessary to achieve desired results.

Don’t be surprised if after the first or second treatment, you will look at your photographs and you won’t believe how bad your veins used to look. This may be the first time in years that you’ve felt good enough about your legs to actually take a good look at them.*
Frequently asked Questions:
Q: How does sclerotherapy work?
A: Injected medications irritate delicate endothelial cells which line your blood vessels. Following treatment veins shrivel and are absorbed by the body. These vessels are not necessary for normal circulation.
Q: How many times does it have to be done?
A: This varies with the number of areas injected, their size and response to each injection. Oddly enough, it usually takes 3 to 4 treatments to obliterate about 80% of small spider veins and usually requires fewer (about 2 treatments plus some follow-ups) to manage larger varicose veins.*
Q: Can unwanted vessels in areas other than the legs, such as the groin, breasts, and hands be treated effectively?
A: Yes, excellent results can be obtained in areas other than the legs.*
