What Exactly Is Eclipse MicroPen and What Does It Do?
Eclipse MicroPen is an electronic instrument that is FDA approved for use by dermatologists that uses many very fine needles to pierce the skin vertically.
The treatment allows for improved collagen remodeling as well as enhances your skin’s own ability to rejuvenate itself.*
Different than needle rollers, the Eclipse MicroPen instrument uses precisely-controlled needle stamping methods to reach a specific depth in the dermal layer while minimizing skin discomfort and abrasions.*

Frequently Asked Questions About Eclipse MicroPen
Q. How many treatments are recommended for best results?
A. We recommend five treatments spaced two to four weeks apart for best results.*
Q. Is Eclipse MicroPen recommended for olive and dark skins?
A. Safer than lasers the Eclipse MicroPen can be used on all skin types and colors.
Q. Who performs the Eclipse MicroPen treatment?
A. At Sensational Skin, only our Certified Laser Technicians perform this treatment.
Q. Does the Eclipse MicroPen treatment hurt?
A. No, you will not feel any discomfort. We treat your skin for 30 minutes prior to the treatment with a numbing cream making the needling painless. Also the needles are so very fine that you will not feel the treatment.*
Q. How long does the actual process take?
A. Typically a face is treated in 30 to 60 minutes.
Q. How is a Needle Roller different than Eclipse MicroPen?
A. Needle Rollers can typically not be used in small areas and the needles are typically larger. Additionally needle rollers rely on hand pressure so the depth of treatment is not consistent. Needle Rollers may also cause lateral trauma to the skin as well as part of the rolling process. With Eclipse MicroPen the needle insertion is mechanically controlled by a dial setting and the rapid vertical movement of the needle is the only action of the instrument. You will achieve better and more controlled results even in smaller areas with a Eclipse MicroPen treatment.
Q. What can I expect after treatment?
A. The treated area may be red and have minimal bleeding.
